No two golfers have the same stroke and posture, so why would you just invest in a new putter with a standard specification without first having a custom fitting to determine the correct fit, length, head design, weight, loft, and lie for you.
Many golfers will have custom fitting for new set of irons, woods and wedges but will not give the same importance when buying a putter, when your putter is the most used club in your bag, the club you will use on almost every hole you will play.
Unlike all other aspects of the game of golf, where to play at the highest level you are said to be born with natural ability, anyone with the right coaching, attitude and mental approach has the ability to learn to putt like a tour pro.
